Playa Negra
Playa Negra in Vieques is a striking black-sand beach created by volcanic minerals mixing with the island’s golden sand. It’s reached by a short, scenic hike through a lush coastal trail before opening to the uniquely dark shoreline. While not ideal for swimming, it’s one of Vieques’ most iconic spots for exploring.

Ceiba Airport - 10 Minute Flight Requires a 90 minute cab ride or Uber + all flights to Vieques end by 5:30pm.

Airline options: Cape Air, Vieques Air Link, Seaborne Flight availabilities only appear about 2-3 months in advance.
FERRY
The ferry will take you from Vieques to Ceiba, then you will need to Uber/Lyft to San Juan for flights.

We recommend staying in Condado, Santurce, or Viejo San Juan
How long is the shuttle to the ferry port?
The Shuttle will take us from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Ceiba, Puerto Rico - in total, the shuttle ride will be ~1hr 20min
How far are the recommended hotels to the wedding venue?
El Blok & Puertas at Quenepo are ~1 mile away from Casa Encantada, we recommend golf carts to arrive.
How long is the Ferry ride to Vieques?
Ferry ride is ~45 min.
Is there Uber in Vieques?
No there is no Uber, you can schedule Taxis ahead of time if needed.
What does transportation within Vieques, Puerto Rico look like?
We will provide a shuttle from Ferry to the recommended hotels. To get around Vieques, we recommend renting golf carts or Jeeps. Important to Note: There are no Ubers on the island.

Ceiba is the ferry port to travel to Vieques. If you choose this option, plan for a drive of about 90 minutes. Plan to be at the ferry terminal at least an hour prior to your designated trip.
